I went camping with my 13 year old, Shane, and his Boy Scout troop. I forgot how invigorating camping is having not gone for a few years.
Night 1 we spent at the Baltimore Sailing Center and it was nearly dark when setup camp. We awakened bright and early on Saturday and boated across the Chesapeake Bay to Hart-Miller Island. Boating, tubing, kayaking, and fighting off bugs were the activities of the day.
The trip was loosely luau themed so a few people wrote Hawaiian type shirts and dinner included pork and pineapple. It was nice to sit around and talk to the other adults before heading back to the tent. Before bed each night I watched some Netflix on the iPad which shows you I haven’t thrown both feet in to living in the wilderness.
